1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website remedyreadings.com and all associated services (together, the "Platform"), operated by RemedyReadings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17338081, with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA ("RemedyReadings," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, topping up your wallet, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
2.1. You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account or use the Platform. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
2.2. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, including your date of birth, and keep this information up to date.
2.3. We reserve the right to request proof of age or identity at any time and to suspend or terminate any account where we reasonably believe the account holder does not meet this eligibility requirement.
3. Nature of Our Services
3.1. RemedyReadings is a marketplace platform that connects customers with independent reading service providers ("Readers") for live one-to-one consultations delivered via text chat and/or voice call.
3.2. Readings provided through the Platform are for entertainment purposes only. Tarot, psychic, astrological, spiritual, and all other reading services offered by Readers are not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, legal, financial, psychological, or veterinary advice. You should not rely on any reading as the basis for making significant life decisions.
3.3. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or outcome of any reading. Readers are independent individuals offering their own personal interpretations and opinions, and their views do not represent the views of RemedyReadings.
3.4. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, medical emergency, or need professional advice, please contact the appropriate emergency services or a qualified professional. RemedyReadings and its Readers are not equipped to provide emergency support of any kind.
4. Readers Are Independent Service Providers
4.1. Readers who offer services through the Platform are independent, self-employed individuals. They are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of RemedyReadings.
4.2. RemedyReadings provides the technology platform that enables Readers and customers to connect and transact; we do not control, direct, or supervise the content of any individual reading.
4.3. While we take reasonable steps to review Readers who join the Platform and to act on reports of misconduct, we do not guarantee the qualifications, conduct, or the content of what any Reader says during a session.
5. Accounts
5.1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
5.2. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
5.3. You may not create more than one account, or create an account on behalf of another person, or use another person's account without permission.
6. Wallet, Payments & Billing
6.1. To use chat or call services, you must top up your account wallet using one of our available payment methods. Wallet top-ups are processed securely via our payment provider.
6.2. Sessions are billed on a pay-as-you-go, per-second basis, at the rate set by the individual Reader you are engaging with. Rates are displayed before you begin a session.
6.3. At the start of a session, the estimated cost is reserved from your wallet balance; once the session ends, you are charged only for the actual time used, and any unused reserved amount is returned to your wallet.
6.4. It is your responsibility to ensure you have sufficient wallet balance before starting a session. A session may end automatically if your balance is exhausted.
6.5. Wallet balances have no cash value outside the Platform and cannot be transferred to another user or withdrawn as cash, except as set out in our Refunds section below.
7. Refunds
7.1. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not automatic or guaranteed.
7.2. To request a refund, you must email us at [email protected] with the following information:
- The date and time of the session in question;
- The name of the Reader involved;
- A clear description of the issue you experienced.
7.3. We will review each request individually and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be granted.
7.4. This clause does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
8. Reviews
8.1. After a completed session, you may be invited to leave a review of your Reader. Reviews must be honest, based on genuine personal experience, and must not contain abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content.
8.2. We reserve the right to moderate, hide, or remove any review that violates this policy, and reviews are subject to approval before publication.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or defame any Reader or other user;
- Attempt to circumvent the Platform's billing system or arrange payment with a Reader outside the Platform;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or our systems;
- Record, redistribute, or publish any session content without the consent of all parties involved, except where the Platform itself provides an official transcript/recording feature for your own personal records;
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or age.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without refund, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
10. Communications
10.1. By providing your email address and/or phone number, you consent to receive service-related communications from us, including session confirmations and, where applicable, SMS alerts about Readers you have favourited.
10.2. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time using the unsubscribe/opt-out method provided (e.g. replying "STOP" to SMS messages).
11. Intellectual Property
11.1. All content on the Platform (excluding content generated by Readers or customers during sessions) — including the RemedyReadings name, logo, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to RemedyReadings and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
12.2. Subject to clause 12.1, RemedyReadings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, or from the content or outcome of any reading provided by a Reader.
12.3. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
13.1. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
13.2. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms, without prior notice where we reasonably believe this is necessary.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
